>>1376469Maybe this is because the British people have historically sympathized with the Jews, and because the government has a geopolitical alliance with Israel? You speak of huge pro-Palestinian marches, but who actually shows up? It's always a coalition of the radical left and the recent imports. Hardly representative of the British people as a whole, who tend to have far more pressing issues on their minds.
And the UK Muslim population isn't some powerless scapegoat. A subset of this population, a minority of it for sure, but a persistent subset, resists integration, pushes foreign agendas, harasses and violates British women, provides the raw materials for transnational extremism, normalizes unambiguously antisemitic rhetoric, and seems to get off on provoking the British peoples' sensibilities. And all the British people have ever asked from the quiet majority of the Muslim community is to self-police a bit and disown the radicals. But the latter refuses every single time, preferring to play the victim over honestly addressing the former's very legitimate concerns regarding social peace and national cohesion.
Let's be honest. The Israelis aren't the ones causing massive social division and unrest in the UK. And the Muslim community, by and large, isn't, either. But a segment of the latter absolutely is. And a lot of ordinary Brits are exhausted of always having their worries about that subset waved away as mere bias.
