because rightoids are uncannily comfortable talking about children's genitals and orgasms, and leftoids are not. so if you put a bunch of lawmakers in a room and half the room spends the next four hours screaming nonstop about children's genitals and the ability of those children to have good orgasms, any normal (non-rightoid) people in the room will get skeeved out and sign literally anything you put in front of them, just to get them to stop

it's the same tactic used around the world, they're doing it in the US too, it works amazingly well
