what is the disadvantage of shaving my head and wearing a wig full time? a nice, authentic, human-hair one, not a party city one, before you get the wrong idea. my hair is truly untamable and will always look like shit and i feel a wig is my birthright as a brown woman regardless. so what's the downside, besides initial buy-in price?

I know it's tedious, but just post your work so far and let people workshop it. Maybe post a couple photos even, come back to the thread, try a few things and post again. You probably just have AGP curls and are frying the fuck out of your hair on a regular basis. Are you brushing it while it's dry? Are you washing it more than once every 5-6 days? Are you using no gels or pomades. Are you aggressively drying it with a towel? Good wigs are fucking expensive, and the only time you'll feel good about yourself will be when you're fully made up.
