We gonna do it 3D? Okay, let's not bother imitating 2D but fully embrace it instead, also have a normal framerate for the animation.
Character outfits? Fuck it, how many we can squeeze in? Two, three per episode? Yeah sounds good.
Obviously you could see some budget limitations starting to crop up in later parts of the season, but even then they made an absolute banger of a show that leveraged all of its strengths and uniqueness in a good way, even if it could use a bit more runtime to explore some parts of its story left untouched
