Takes place several weeks before Max moves to Seattle and follows Max and Chloe afterwards as they're adjusting to their new separate lives. I strongly recommend reading the early chapters, because the young Max/Chloe parts are fantastic and adorable. After Max moves, they don't interact any more and the fic just falls apart. The fic is abandoned and as of the latest chapter the two are STILL separated, so there's no payoff where they reunite.
That's it for now, maybe forever, unless another LIS game comes out. I've done way more trawling of AO3 and
ff.net than a healthy respectable person would do. I'm always looking for new fics to read, so give me more recommendations! Especially Pricefield.
Interesting note: I was about to give Escaping the Light by Omnicyde another shot, but the author's deleted the story completely on both AO3 and
ff.net. The author's other works are still up. My conspiracy theory is that the author mentions they also write fiction, I think they converted the fic into an original work and so took it down completely. It was essentially OC anyway
