decision to bury almost all trace of reference to Marcy/TC until the finale episodes as the fault of the character.
Nor do I think it’s fair that only Anne is on this shitlist when Sasha had the same lack of concern, only thinking of Anne instead of her friend being imprisoned.
I also don’t like how in 3B they left talking about her until the exact episode they went to get her. Sasha’s struggle with forgiving her could have been a nice foundation of stakes and a further exploration of her character arc and possible continued faults if she had to stop and compare her deeds to Marcy’s. And we could have seen Anne reflect and arrive at the conclusion that she did, a nice tie up to her and the shows theme of recognizing and wanting to rectify the cracks in a friendship. And they wouldn’t have come off as uncaring.
If they explicitly wrote them saying something assholish and uncaring about her I’d understand, but you know that wasn’t the intention. I gripe about 3a too, but blaming bad writing on a character is silly. Intentional dislikable traits is one thing, but it’s just a shame when characters are shafted by poor writing
