To keep the heat up on JAST,
Flowers- the situation so far:
-Demo released, has a translation so bad you might as well have been reading a different VN
-Internet catches wind of it, with folks tweeting about how horrible it is, listing many, but not all, mistakes
-Several prominent translators think they should toss the current script and start from scratch. It's that bad.
-JAST is made aware of the dissatisfaction and responds: All issues will be fixed in the final release
-Peter Payne: It's a(n) demo/incomplete translation/apha script. Please don't hate me. We'll fix the problems
https://twitter.com/jlist2/status/703051751088193536-IG probably knows about the problem as anon
>>1993644 was informed by localisation team, and because the writer of Flowers follows a Japanese twitter account (@trinder_yuri) that has been tweeting translation issues all over in Moon
-@OmisoshiruNet from JAST's Japan side approaches two prominent twitter accounts about the mistakes they spotted, asks them to email their QA department
-Same guy also tweets some of the Japanese fans to reassure them, saying they they are looking over, and re-doing the script.
https://twitter.com/OmisoshiruNet/status/703509055067717632-@Swaps4 stepped in "once the issues came to light". Says he is setting up a new team, looking to have it in "Acceptable English with the main goal of having it translated as is actually needed"
-JAST releases an update patch for the demo. It fixes some issues, but many still remain. Of the lines fixed, most are a lot better, but there are a line or two that are questionable
-A certain goddess remains unimpressed
-@KurosakaRyuuko states that only 25% of the issues he spotted were fixed, doesn't have time to work on Flowers with JAST
-@Swaps4 looking for feedback so that he may "make improvements to the alpha version so all the bad vibes, hatred, and negative thoughts in general can be put at ease"
-JAST will likely release another patch for the demo
