>>4402606>Nier Automata>deepSo pseudo-philosophical, shallow, self-important art you mean?
Regardless, if you want something that makes you think but also focuses on romance you will rarely get a good amount of both.
Signalis is pretty cerebral, but you will have to piece together the sci-fi horror and mind bending truths yourself... or watch a lore video. The romance aspect lies in the tragedy and the past, so it's angsty and artsy-fartsy about that too.
When someone says pseudo-intellectualism and overcomplicated lore, the Nasuverse immediately springs to mind. I think if you look beyond the now way overused "Death Game" set up, you might like Fate/Extra and Fate/Extra CCC, which have surprisingly interesting philosophical and technological themes. And to balance that out there is plenty of stupid fun gayness if you pick femC.
CRYMACHINA may be an action game, but the part that actually interests people is its philosophical take on humanity and robots/AI... well and the gay interactions between the all female cast.
I dunno if I would call them philosophical, but the FLOWERS series of VNs sure love to throw around detective puzzles related to a broad amount of knowledge and can get quite deep on some themes relating to lesbianism and, well, art.
A recent game that dives deep into modern society and the philosophy of young adult life in a declining economy and world, while tackling many social issues is S4U. You can pick a femC and there are two female love interests, so it also has some yuri content. Just be aware that the romance aspect is minimal compared to the existential angst.
