>>1020593I've used three different headsets. There are stand-alone programs, but you are limiting yourself from the true experience. Porn addiction is a real thing, manage your life however you see fit. Here's my take on the headsets I've tried.
Oculus Quest 2 - Pros:
[spoiler:lit]Affordable
*Comfortable due to it's wireless nature (*see cons)
Wireless or wired configuration both work well.
User friendly.
Better than average screen quality especially at the price.
Cons:
Facebook account necessary.
Comfortable only after I bought a different head strap.
Glasses wearers might experience discomfort. Light leaks in through the headset, affecting immersion.
(Solved by an additional light blocking piece I had to purchase)
Battery life could be longer.
Guardian system resets randomly.
Oculus Rift S - Pros:
Bigger FOV compared to the Quest 2, no light leaking in from the outside, much more comfortable out of the box. Glasses fit great.
Cons: Has to be tethered to PC in order to run.
Facebook account necessary.
Outdated screens, but the quality is indistinguishable from the Quest 2 in my opinion.
Older model.
HTC Vive Pro -
Pros: Solid all around. No issues in terms of comfort, fit, FOV, or screen quality. Viewing quality surpasses the two listed above.
Cons: Price. Seriously consider this type of purchase and do your research.[/spoiler:lit]
