Anno 1800 took 1.75 years before finally being cracked and Red Dead Redemption 2 took 0.96 years. With a bunch of fixes needed after he first thought they were cracked (at least for RDR2).

Cracking later versions of the same game basically requires you re-do all your work so it's most worthwhile to crack Denuvo games after all patches and DLC have been released, meaning the anti-piracy measure has served its primary purpose.

Both of the games mentioned above were cracked by the same guy, EMPRESS, who was a cracker for CODEX and later for HOODLUM/PARADOX but then made his own P2P "group" (off-scene). There aren't that many crackers left that are skilled enough to actually break Denuvo, we'll be in for a dark age of piracy soon. Right now Denuvo is mostly just for the top games but it'll become more and more common over time and skilled crackers still interested (or still alive) will become more and more uncommon. Sure better cracking tools might become available but the creators of Denuvo (or similar) will also have access to these tools and work out ways to counter them.

Yep. I ran the installer (yolo) and it's legit but on startup it instantly crashes, before it can even show the first screen. Just instant black screen and then the window closes. Would love to hear some suggestions to remedy this and in the meantime I'll consider shelling out the $25 for all the dlcs...
