>>21167281I don't understand the whole identity argument or thinking. I've met hapas and never had one complain about identity. But I have met European Americans (Canadians included) that are a mix of various Euro ethnicities, who express frustration with not being able to identify with one of their ethnicities. Personally, I am 50% British and 50% Austrian, and having visited both countries, I've experienced people from both telling me I am not one of them. I was told I look too American or British. This doesn't bother me, I just lay claim to being European in general.
From experience, East Asians seem to be very open to white people and mixed whites. As long as they are from a country with a positive stereotype. I've seen them shit on darker-skinned southern Europeans, so I'd imagine they would do the same with half breeds of the same ilk.
I think the mediocrity principle is playing with perception here.
