A) killed himself the second it looked like he'd lose the war. Like a coward.
B) fled to the other side of the world and spent the rest of life in hiding the second it looked like he'd lose the war. Also like a coward. Watching silently as his men were arrested, executed and labeled histories boogymen.
Either way, he bailed on his followers when they needed him most. He was a shit leader.
