I get maudlin looking at these pictures, especially the lesser-known models from the '20s and '30s and before... all the girls in them are in their 90s or dead. Do you think they remembered the pictures they posed in when they were old? I wonder what their sorrows and passions were at that age, did any of that matter to them at the end of the road? What hardships did they suffer? Did they keep in touch with former lovers, or did they let everyone go?
Now that I'm getting older, the inevitable destination is more real to me. Youth is getting more important for me.
