>What is a lesbian?
Lesbians are homosexual women, meaning they are women exclusively attracted to women (the same sex, female). This includes both cis women and transsexual MtF women.
>Can trans women be lesbians? How about trans men?
Yes, trans women (MtF) who are only attracted to women are lesbians. Some may use the term transbian to refer to themselves.
Some trans/FtM men used to be involved in the lesbian community as they often identified as lesbians before transitioning. However, they are not wlw and thus this general is not the place for trans men to post, especially since they have their own active community here and irl.
>Can I post here if I am a bisexual woman?
Yes, all wlw are welcome to participate as long as you keep discussion relevant to lesbian topics.
>Are genital preferences valid?
Sexual orientation is innate and we can’t choose what sex characteristics we’re attracted to. However, discussing how much you dislike a certain set of genitals can be rude and disrespectful. In the same vein, shaming others for their attraction or lack thereof is also disrespectful. Bee kind.
