why are queer people into odd things?

is it because in most cultures, even in so called progressive ones, being gay or trans is still seen as odd. people who are considered odd, tend to also form odd hobbies.

or is being queer specifically the reason a lot have odd interests.


say, is the reason a lot of furries are gay, because furries are treated as odd as gay people, or is it because being a furry inherently has gay elements even if it wasn't considered an odd hobby?
