>>39733816>If you can’t tolerate trans lesbiansI am a trans lesbian.
My problem is with t4t transbians. They are their own sub-culture and not a part of the lesbian community. Hell, they are only lesbians in the most vulgar sense of the word, they should be considered something else.
I'm not attacking their gender identity. My problem is with them as a culture. It waters down and cheapens what the term 'lesbian' means if they are included under it. Just as it would cheapen the meaning to include bi women as lesbians.
>This general is for ALL lesbians and wlwI'm ok with considering t4t transbians wlw. But they are still objectively not lesbians. They are their own wlw culture and should have their own spaces, rather then forcing themselves into lesbian spaces and hijacking our identity.
>monolithic Lesbian culture that doesn’t even exist and never existedGenerally speaking, from the 50s onwards there was a pretty recognizably homogeneous lesbian culture across the anglo-sphere. It started fracturing thanks to attacks from 2nd wave feminists, the AIDs epidemic and attempts to welcome bis into lesbian spaces.
While it is not as unified as it once was (sadly), there is still an enduring, recognizable lesbian culture. Something we should be looking to protect from further erosion. Hell, rebuild back to how it was before even.
>erase the uniqueness of racial minority lesbians who never fit in with white lesbian cultureNot really much of a thing outside of the US. But it is typical of americans to not consider what things are like outside of their borders.
Besides, there is no real reason why studs and stems should not be considered part of lesbian culture. I welcome it even. They are actual lesbians, t4t transbians are not.
