from everything I've watched about wild animals in my area, it seems basically impossible to tame most animals. best case scenario is they learn to tolerate you and stop being scared, but they don't care about you.
squirrels are so scared of people, only way is to raise a baby and they think your the parent and they actually do like you then and climb on you and enjoy pets.
