If you like big masculine hairy men, 80% of men are not like that. If you like twinks, 80% of men are not like that. I think it would be unusual for someone to genuinely be attracted to 50% of all men, especially when the average man is obese.
On the other hand, women have less variety I think. The average man likes very normal women because men have low standards, but also because there's a lot more normal women while men are more varied.
