The main part of it is indifference/ignorance
(How the hell can a woman expect me to empathise with her period pains? I can't even begin to understand how they might hurt.)
That also ties in to trans people.
Many/most people don't hate trans people. There is just a complete disconnect between the 2 groups.
Empathy depends on an element of knowing or understanding.
Nobody can explain to me in a way that I can tie into a personal experience what it is to be trans.
That feeling of your body not being your body?
I just can't understand how it feels as I have always felt my body is mine.
