I think a lot of that is how males develop into homosexual fixation early on. Its the ancient warning about masturbation and, now, porn. Endless fantasy naturally just become more and more complex, and gives a feedback reward the more it is mentally constructed until it becomes their parallel reality.
I too noticed this any time I dated younger. The younger they were, the more bizarre fetishes I would find.
