I'm older than most of you, and it used to ALWAYS be part of a regular physical to pull your underwear down & let the doc examine your genitals, balls, and yes, the "rubber glove test". Then about 5-10 years ago, "physicals" became "wellness checks" and they don't even have you take off your shirt anymore! I've had gay doctors or PAs for a long time, and the one I had back in the 2000s did a full, thorough physical, and I was down to my underwear around my ankles (he was not attractive at ALL, unfortunately). Every time he did the glove test, I would say "careful, I'm not a Bottom haha".
After his practice closed, I found a gay PA at a large consortium, who did the pants-down check the first time, but that's when they switched to just "wellness checks". He wasn't really attractive either, but we'd talk about the gay community as we ran in sort of the same circles. But i got tired of the bureaucracy of that place, so I switched to another one, once I heard about another gay PA.
This guy was pretty cute, very nice, and I told him "I miss the old-fashioned physicals", really for the medical thoroughness, not for anything sexy, but he started checking my dick 7 balls every time after that, and it turns out I have one ball much bigger than the others, so I got it checked out w radiography--turns out it's what's called a "hydrocele", basically a sac of fluid there in my scrotum making it look swelled up but harmless.
Unfortunately THAT guy left, too, to move to a different county. I'm still at the same practice w the only male PA they have, but i don't think he is gay. Haven't met him yet, but I suspect he won't do a thorough physical.
