It happens every day and no one fucking cares. Notice how dramatically and suddenly the popular reaction was the very instant his face was revealed? Like. We were all watching that, right? We saw it happen right before our eyes as it suddenly became such a pop media moment.
And now it's forgotten as media realized that a beautiful figurehead was giving socio-cultural reach to serious critique of the American system that it wouldn't have had otherwise. It's intensely ironic. He's a privileged prettyboy who lashed out after his privilege was dented, and it so fucking undermines any moral superiority he might claim. And the irony is that very real criticism of him has been seized upon to successfully delete his almost-argument.
Leaving us with this. Nothing will change. A beautiful young man has been destroyed utterly, which he definitely deserved, and yet any of the good he sought to do has also been abjured, utterly, by the very privilege that so injured him to lose.
