They weren’t afraid to have situations where women were genuinely struggling and distressed in the moment. Poor Shae Simone was my favorite for this. She lost every match she fought, but not for lack of trying. You could hear the frustration in her grunts and moans as she was simply overpowered and toyed with. She would be reduced to literally begging her opponent not to make her cum. Compare that to now, where all the participants are just cheap models with no interest in wrestling or competition, who just giggle and roll around the whole time. The key to this stuff being hot is the perception that the loser is humiliated and does not WANT to sexually annihilated by the girl that kicked her ass.
Introducing men could have and should have been fun. There were a couple of mixed gender matches as test shoots before they started Evolved Fights, and those were the best. It wasn’t as brutal as Ultimate Surrender, but everyone was still trying. There was a 2 on 1 way back in the day with Isis and another chick, and they really tried against him. The other chick was getting seriously pissed at how helpless she was against an actual man. Then there was a tag team match with Penny Barber and Daisy Ducati against two twinks, and that was hot because it was women defeating and molesting men, but believable because they were twinks going up against two actually good female wrestlers.
I think the key is picking women who have actual experience in competitive wrestling, not just random models. The horniness can be taught more easily than the competitiveness and skill.
