>>1293144>Don't know much about his security or video recording and stuff, but does doing a screen capture of the video player, like with fraps or OBS or something get around the encoding? The system he uses is made by XVID (the people behind the codec) its called Autograph. Marketing material for the system says it survives re encoding and screen capturing. The system imperceptibly watermarks every frame of the video across the entire frame (unlike legal pornos keyframe dots).
The last time I was a member I checked it out, when you download and autographed video your usename gets passed to the autograph through a web service and the XVID CDN serves up the unique video to you. I compared videos from multiple IP's and times and they hashed out the same. Videos from two different users however where completely different.
I even imported both videos into premier and compared all the differences in each frame, the watermarking was there and it was in every frame.
People like to think this tech doesn't exist or is prohibitively expensive. All you have to do look at the fallout to know that its real. Since the system went live in April GHS video uploads have effectively stopped.
He may not sue the original downloader like he's claiming, but at the very least they're banned pretty quickly.
