>>8582282He's genuinely very skilled, his style seems crude and simple but it's done with a good knowledge of anatomy, perspective, and composition, which is why it works. You rarely see him rely on crutches a lot of artists use.
The only real mark against him is his coloring imo. You can tell in his earlier works he was still figuring it out. I suspect he was mostly a sketch artist before and picked up coloring later.
