The best one could hope for is just keeping her happy and going all in on being her perfect son/lover for her to dote on and have sex with. Not justifying her actions but she doesn't really kill without reason (however warped the reasoning). She's a sick and insane woman but she was willing to forgive Toji and Marika the first time, not doing anything to harm her daughter at first and just letting Toji off with a whipping but then he went and slept with Marika again which prompted another whipping. And while she killed Marika the way the dialogue goes it implies it's because Marika became an obstacle and tried to separate Kyouko from Toji that made her snap and kill her. And then she saw his messages to Marika, showing that even though he had Kyouko's love he still wanted Mariika, she viewed as yet another betrayal and prompted her going full tilt into 'mothering' him to death to 'cleanse' him like she did Shinji. Not justifying it, but it does show she does operate under some sort of logic despite her insanity and is pretty easy to keep warm and loving. What muddles this though is the fact she did what she did to Shinji in the beginning for what's implied to be something as minor as just smoking so who knows what could set her off unless he was a playboy of sorts and also betrayed her love which also is possible as far as we know. Again, she's a psychopath and purposefully preys on and grooms young boys she breastfed to take them as lovers later and killing them if they've become 'unclean adults' but she's a manageable kind of crazy if she's kept happy. Sadly, no Oyakodan is possible because she doesn't share and will have a full breakdown if cheated on and she didn't want Marika to see that side of herself because on some level she recognizes sleeping with the boys she nursed is indeed pretty twisted.
