I'm working on a big sister for Najima and I've hit a wall.
No idea what kind of color scheme I should go with for the clothes. I was thinking something in darker shades to contrast with Naji's colors but everything I test ends up clashing with the purple hair highlights.

I'm still confused on what this patch actually does, and how it's shipped on Steam. It's not like there's a school theme or anything, so why is it that there's anything to uncensor, and we ALL know it's not to uncensor genitals, so what else is there??

That said, if it's slider stuff, people were already saying the JP/non-steam trial/full game wasn't what their prior games used to be or what not, so I just as well doubt it's that. What is it???

Consider how they relate to one another and go from there. Like for example, Protoman uses a red color scheme to contrast with Megaman's blue color scheme because he's meant to both rival Megaman and also hold seniority over him.

When Tomonobu Itagaki designed Kasumi for the Dead or Alive series of video games he gave her orange hair but gave her secret half sister bright purple rock star hair-WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING ITAGAKI THESE CHARACTER DON'T LOOK RELATED IN THE SLIGHTEST YOU HIPSTER FUCK. So after Itagaki was fired(but not before wasting $500 million dollars of Microsoft to hire Aerosmith for a throwaway game intro) they made sure to give Honoka pink hair in Dead or Alive 5 because purple and pink are on the same color spectrums and Ayane and Honoka are secretly sisters.

...Okay then why isn't Honoka's hair a shade of orange since she's Kasumi's half sister too? Dead or Alive doesn't make any fucking sense...

In the Street Fighter series of video game's Han Juri's hair is brown because she is Korean, just like Ryu who is also Korean.

Ayane and Honoka both have red eyes because they are sisters so why are Kasumi's eyes orange...

Nyo Tengu's eyes are purple because like Ryu from Virtua Fighter she is also Korean.

Nothing about a studio yet. All in all, I'd say to wait for the upcoming Friday (in JP time???) to see if they have anything new to talk about, like an update or something, or maybe we're going to be sat for awhile before hearing about DLC or so, who can really say? Ever played Honey Select? Or Koikatsu? Then it's the gameplay of Honey Select, with the (improved) graphics/models of Koikatsu. As for the gameplay aspect, you basically create girls, drop them into the hotel(?), talk with them, get them comfortable with you, and have sex with them, at varying stages of your relationships with them.

Or at least this is my attempt at summarizing all of that off the top of my head. In any case, if you're looking for more, like NPC characters interacting with other NPC characters on either a simple (Koikatsu) or "detailed" level (AA2), then it's non-existent as far as I know of. It's you and the (individual) girls, with a few personalities.

Make sure you check the stat of the girl on the Meet Up option to keep trc
Certified Master: Max out submissiveness. When chatting, choose to lead the conversation. During sex, avoid femdom and try using "rougher" positions, including forced BJ, bondage, ropes, etc.
Make them finish no more than 2 times, and aim to finish more than they do.

The Despised: Max out hostility. Start a sex scene, but end it without raising their pleasure stat past the line (or ideally don't raise their pleasure at all). Do this repeatedly

Mind Crusher: This was extremely tedious for me to do. Try to finish the girl about 10 times per scene (you should finish less than they do). Use rougher poses and BDSM. At the end of each scene they'll tell you that they're extremely exhausted. Avoid speceal scenes (bathroom, bedroom, shower) because these scenes don't seem to raise the "worn out" stat.

I love AA2, but it's just so damn aged. In an ideal world we'd get AA3 with Honey Come's character customization, but Illusion always disappointed in recent years, so I assume the streak will continue with their successor.
Hell, they don't even have to go crazy with the gameplay - they could easily rip-off what KISS was doing with CM/COM and probably provide a better overall product solely on the basis that they have better character customization and a FAR better modding scene.

Yeah, my point is, since Koikatsu is Unity game with known compiler, with proper reverse engineering they might add actual gameplay features and become more suitable as AA2 successor, at least there is some base.

I dunno, I imagine if anyone was capable of actually adding gameplay to Koi, they would have already done so at this point. It's been 5 years and AA2 was torn down into AAU and Mini within the same timeframe wasn't it?
Koi also has the rather egregious performance issues that would hamper an attempt to do so (Sunshine did run quite a bit better), which seem to be much improved in HC.

Apparently not.
Overriding with Nvidia 3D setting doesn't seem to help much either. Normal setting didn't seem to provide any improvement while Transparency just blur the shit out of the texture and tank performance.
Only way to alleviate the issue seems to be playing at higher resolution.

That's the thing about H-Games not having POV functionality natively, the animations themselves likely are not POV friendly to begin with. (Of course, that doesn't stop people who want it anyway, but that's all the more reason why officially for those who have, so to speak, a "higher standard" for POV motion, they'll likely never officially implement POV views because the actual motions/animations/sex isn't built with POV in mind at all, but third person/omnipresent perspective.)

If there's any reason for any game to lack varying heights for custom characters, it's likely due to animations and or what they'll be having the characters do. The face, bodies, and where applicable, the hair is mostly all you're gonna want/need anyways. To get 1:1 recreations, that's where you start getting janky junk ports from other stuff, and it immediately and flawlessly starts clashing with easily the immediate next character you have because people don't care to make it actually fit the game or anything.

I downloaded the game using the links in the OP, but the installers are in Japanese along with the readmes. BTW, I unironically enjoy playing these games just for the customization at this point. I haven't touched the story mode but the light simulation elements are actually kind of fun too lmfao. I remember I picked up AA2 a long time ago, beat my dick relentlessly to it for like a month, and then unironically stayed just to play it. Same with Koikatsu. I always end up having to quit and delete these games because I end up weirdly playing them constantly instead of actual games. There is story mode anon, its just the honey select one, you appear in a magical hotel and you have the priviledge of having any girl you want as you want, you get them and depending on how you fuck them they change mood, love you, hate you etc... you also get to fuck the hotel owner and she's hot, so it has as much story as any kokatsi but I prefer this.

It have nothing to do with that but rather doing it for the west would mean they would be slapped by DCMA for every "IP infringing" card that was uploaded, even in Japan its kinda testing the waters too much.

If you're referring to "ABMX", then I think so. I only think because I haven't actually touched Koikatsu (properly) in a long time, but I'm almost certain it was. In any case, there's quite a lot of things done for KK that I think came just as much from the west as the east, if not more honestly.

That said however, who knows, maybe they're referring to HC specifically, but even then, progress is still rather slow right now, but I'd still take slow over absolutely halted.

What's funny is this is already the reason why I've already got one foot out the door because they're going to lean into that, and any efforts toward gameplay will only diminish a slow and painful death. It's bad enough that this is literally HS: (Improved) Koikatsu Edition, the end game really is just a character creator and a studio full of maps and animations to use. One anime game to fulfill that, and one realistic probably again to do so.

God it's so depressing to think about.

How in the hell do you think telemetry works? When the game phones home a database compares the incoming query with it's own data--something as simple as if the query is coming from a purchased, legitimate copy is among the most basic things it would check for. They're not going to allow a bunch of unvalidated queries to bankrupt them.

Practically, Illgames will use the data to ban users from uploading and downloading cards and scenes and perhaps to stop the game from running at all.

It's a standard school uniform but with a novel color scheme. It'd look more common if her blazer, skirt, and stockings were blue.
