>>7173596>as a way of advertisementThis just doesn't line up with reality. There isn't a single momcest artist who blew up because of piracy, it's always in spite of it. If they're big and popular already, piracy isn't going to harm them that much. Most momcest artists aren't big and popular.
Just look at the average hentai fan, they're mouthbreathers who can't imagine hentai NOT being completely free, 99% of them will never spend their own money to buy or support their favourite artists. The 1% of people who buy stuff or subscribe to support pages regardless if it's on n-hentai or their site of choice is not worth it from an artist's perspective.
I don't know if it's you or someone else, but saying
>*someone* NEEDS to dump their fanbox stuffinstead of saying
>I'm going to subscribe to the fanbox and dump everythingmeans you don't care enough to pay for it yourself, and is THE sign that you have absolutely no intention of becoming "fresh blood into their revenue streams (more subs, more views etc)." I've uploaded a few thing to e-h myself, and despite over 100k gallery visits and over 2million hits, none of my uploads have seen increases in sales on their respective sites. Momcest is already a niche doujin genre, with the biggest names at the moment like Boin-do only selling 10-15k with the art of an already very famous artist - the same artist who already regularly sells 30k - 40k under a different name on fanza alone.
I know that piracy hurts artists and try to support my favourites whenever I can, but I acknowledge when I pirate I'm engaging in a morally reprehensible act because I also enjoy free entertainment. I just don't act entitled or try to make excuses by justifying it by claiming "b-but free exposure".
