apparently, as the title says, pixiv artist JM has been arrested a few days ago back in China. For spreading and profiting from violent and sexual content. 1.2 mil apparently that he has earned just in China by selling his works- this would mean, according to Chinese laws, a potential 3-10 years of prison.

Yep, that you- know- who gore/pedo artist. The one drew the empire series. Supposedly got caught because...... well, it's a long story, but in short one of his fans photoshopped a real-life female citizen of China's face onto JM's artworks, apparently in order to threaten her for whatever reason. Which, unsurprisingly, got found out, and JM was then reported to the police by Chinese Feminisim activists. Chinese police then did some investigation, considered him to be potentially breaking the law, declared him a suspect and arrested him.

Not surprised desu, especially when he does all his shit back in China. I'm actually surprised that he managed to stay undetected for so long. Considering the content of his works I would imagine him getting into trouble faster in any other *significant* countries but Japan.
