nah the old paste is too outdated, the only reason it stuck around was because the new paste was a different format and reee change. it had a good life but the new paste does it better in every way and paste anon actually keeps the new one updated. old one didn't serve a purpose anymore other than to make me have to answer more stupid questions new paste answers already.

The new paste actually bothers to explain what it's linking to and in a proper order. The old one is garbage compared to the newer one and serves to confuse people more than help because it's just a list of (some) links. The installation instructions are especially horrible. The only good part about it is the news feed, which should be part of the new paste + a small blurb like OP started to do.

tl;dr two pastes are dumb when they do the same thing but one is better in every way.

You do understand that new pastebin is just a copy of mine and uses all my links right. So to put it simply i control both and have the power to close both leaving the new one at nothing but a wall of text.

I do give it credit for being more helpful, but do you really think people are going to download the tor browser just to access it when they can just go on discord and ask for help in support and get a answer a lot quicker.

sorry you feel sleighted, but your paste sucks. and it's not really a copy because it actually bothers to document each plugin. you should talk with the guy who makes the new paste about this and work something out because i agree the old paste doesn't serve a purpose anymore, all the links (your links, your majesty) are in the new paste also. the tor excuse is flimsy, also, and just sounds like you're assmad that your paste isn't needed. for the record i think using tor for it is retarded and it should just be reuploaded when fakku drops it, but even then, the extra step of tor is like a 20 second download. i think threatening to wreck the paste is super petty, especially when your work is still being used to better the community, but then if you did do it i'm sure it wouldn't be long before it was fixed. your call, i guess.

after you have applied all the essentials(translation, uncensor,4k patch, LRE if you choose to) is a good idea to back up the game
also use the "mod folder" feature of HSResolveMoreSlotID for non-essensial mods, it can save you a lot of time and it more comfy at the time of removing mods you test and dont like/dont use.

So I installed HSStandard and the backlights now create bigger, brighter highlight around subject.
Pic related. It gets worse if you move camera slightly to the side.

Most of my scenes get affected because I back light a lot.How do you fix?

Reason behind this? In all my scenes, most light sources are the same but the change in backlight is very noticable.
Reducing bloom help, still the only way to match old backlight is to its angle.

Jesus fucking christ, how do you save animation clips in that mind-numbing VN game engine plugin? I tried exporting the animation data onto text and when you load it it doesn't do anything. I just spent 3 hours making a long animation and now it seems to be lost for good. And that was the time the plugin didn't just bug out and refuse to work.

Eh, PH threads are much slower but have higher IP counts, there's also less drama and shitposting though that's to be expected given the nonexistent community, it's a good thing they came back though, variety's the spice of life and all that.

Posing the girl with IK will take a couple of minutes.
Then posing those degenerate monsters will take a bit longer since it's full FK.

Then lighting comes last, and it will really depend on how well you understand light, or if you're using default lights, etc.

The face and more specifically the eyes are hard to get right for some reason even using a template. Same with the clothes but thats to be expected. The body I almost have it down though. Would say it's like 40% done. I expected to have much trouble making Darkness and Megumin but thats not the case for me.

I've been using Henk's mod resolver to get all the mods I need for some scenes, but it lists a "chunkymod doacostume" mod that I can't find at all. I have almost 100gb of mods installed and I cant get some characters working correctly...even after downloading mods from the actual author, doing fresh installs and slowly adding files..Whats an easy painless way for suicide?

By the way, any mods exist to make nipples bigger? Not the way its like in game, but nipples that poke outwards. Pokies basically. Not just wider larger surface area nipples and areolas.

Once you load a problem character like that, go to the face settings. Bayonetta for example can be easily fixed by clicking on the Face settings, clicking on the Skin tab, and searching for "Bayonetta". The others with missing heads may be fixable by also clicking on the Face settings, clicking the Outline tab, and searching for the respective character. If a head actually appears you'll want to click on the Skin tab and search for the correct skin, just like with fixing Bayonetta.

I did that with Bayonetta and Raikou and nothing shows up under skin. They are there in outline though. The purple bikini is also not there thought I installed that multiple times, its just that purple body suit. Same for midna, missing head. Nothing in outline or skin though.

I feel your pain, I'm in the same situation, I can't even get most of my high heels to work anymore because I have tons of conflicting shit, at this point I'm waiting for some kind of big, safe repack because no way in hell am I reinstalling everything manually again.

Impossible. It's just going to end up being a mod conflict galore.

The best repack is going to be the game, fully updated, with the bare essential mods to get everything running.

Bare essentials are:
IPA, GGmod, Widesliders, SBX, StudioNEOAddon, HSResolveMoreSlotID, and maybe translation.

Not only does HSResolveMoreSlotID resolve ID conflicts, it:
> Can read card data.
> Can read card data from links so you don't have to download them.
> Can read scene data.
> Can use mod folders.
> Enables MoreSlotID, thus replacing all other forms of MoreSlotID plugins or programs.
> Replaces HiR, thus making installing studio mods easy as putting your hands down your pants.

With this, you don't have to really "manually reinstall" anything anymore. By utilizing mod folders, you can easily isolate which mods are faulty by playing it smart.

No repack is going to teach you smart.

Dude, I reinstalled HS for like seven times as far as I remember, probably more given I was on the train since day one.
It's not a matter of being smart, it's a matter of not caring anymore and having to deal with a massive, disjointed modding community where you have to go through five different places to get what you need outside of the bare minimum.

Does Adjust mod do anything that mod mod doesn't do?

I have one character that uses Adjust mod but half the time it doesn't autoload and I have to manually go and select the file. i'd like to just move all of her settings into bonemod if that is possible.

ABM has more control over exact values and can change bone length, but needs external editors. Text files can get messy.
Adjust has an in-game UI but has less control over specific values The .li files are usually clean.

Adjust mod notation
bonename index multiplier X Y Z
For XYZ, 1 is true, 0 is false.

Bonemod notation is
index,bonename,truefalse,X,Y,Z,L
For XYZL, you put the multiplier numbers here.
If you're manually typing in bone entries, index value can be set to -1.

The only reason to be using adjustmod is if you play in full screen and don't know the bone names.
If you play in windowed mode, ABM is by far superior, especially when used with Activebonesfemale or straight up typing shit in yourself.

Pretty much that but as an official standalone game based on KK's engine and assets, it's more or less a butchered Studio without the free mode, made entirely to deliver a modular VN scene.

To be fair, Keitaro's VN plugin is still very rough around the edges and Emotion Creators is pretty much exactly that but with a user interface created for human beings.
It's limited and does away with basic functions KK studio had for no good reason (while keeping other related functions that are now functionally useless), just like Illusion always does, but if you want to create VN stuff it's unarguably very functional, more functional than the current plugin from Keitaro.

Unfortunately, it uses a recent unity build which makes all of our modding resources used until now completely useless, and coupled with the usual lack of basic functions (seriously, no studio free mode in a specific studio based game, Illusion?) makes me think it will die off really fast unless they scramble to fix their mistakes, which I don't think they'll ever do, they didn't do that for PH either way and this "game" has even less options than launch day PH Studio.
Buuuuut, looking at the bright side of things, there's a small, very small chance they'll implement EC's basic functionalities in a future game release, or at least a few of those, still this is Illusion we're talking about so you know how it goes.

Still, I can't shake the feeling this whole EC thing came out due to Keitaro's efforts

It's a mix of everyone's effort, except the English KK community funnily enough since Anon11 butchered everything good about AdvancedIK. And I say Eng KK community because even the Japanese are confused as to what the fuck they're doing.

EC is a visual novel maker with AdvancedIK, plain and simple.
The advancedIK portion is weaksauce compared that what modders made, but it does have save states.

Soscock still has its uses (and having large veins).
It doesn't have as much bones as Hotdog though, so it ends up being a bit bumpy. The default radius is set to 0 which is kind of an annoyance at first, but changing it in SB3UGS so it defaults to that is pretty easy.

Not sure why he separated the balls and shaft however. Keeping the shaft in dynamic mode seems like a better idea than FK.

That's simply because it takes far too much to make decent sex animations with it.
Even with KK at best you'll find slight mods of preexisting animations because anything done from scratch either looks awful or takes far too much time for something that isn't worth it to begin with, it's a great plugin and I'm very happy it's not just for the garbage pile that is KK anymore, but it's not going to be used by anyone other than a bunch of diehard HS users who want to put up with it.

If HS and the other Illusion games were on par with something like DAZ or other things like Blender, sure, you'd see a lot of use out of it, but the truth is, they aren't.
