So i just downloaded and installed Play Home and the graphics do look much better. Why didnt this game catch on?

Also, i thought it can use the cards from HS but the models miss their head when i use them. I dunno... the maker is weird and i doubt i can reproduce them there.

If you raise any of these concerns with Fakku on the forums you get ignored or get told that you're spreading misinformation.
I'm not a fan of resenting "the man", but Fakku has done a shit job here. What they're providing offers little value over the original, and this is outweighed by the fact that it's jank.
If you want to buy a partial product laden with bugs, HSU is for you.
If you *still* want to buy HS to support Illusion, do that directly through DMM or something and then mod your game instead of supporting low quality middlemen.

You can do almost anything in studio including all those rarely-catered to niche fetishes. This is a big deal, just see how much fetish artists make on Patreon there's just a huge dearth of content and with studio you just make whatever hits your buttons.
The vanilla game itself isn't bad for a quick fap but it gets dull fast and never gets better.

Tried to install widesliders and of course it doesn't work. I'm on HS unlimited.
I did this:

Is it possible to load more than one skintex at a time? I could swear I've done it before, but can't figure out how. And if not is there a way to just add this tattoo in the tattoos section instead of using skintex? That would also solve my problem.

Lots of newfriend anons in this thread thinking HS can do a lot it actually can't.

No you can't make custom anims, only edit existing ones.

There's no collision physics whatsoever.

No you can't use more than one tattoo but there are mods that put tattoos in other slots (but then you're wasting that slot for a tattoo).

Yeah TK17 has some really nice features but as a whole it falls flat for me
I imagine a physics vag could be modded into HS with some effort and talent. Skyrim ended up with 2 different physics/collisions systems modded in and Gamebryo is way older than Unity
Our modders have done wonders for the game but some of the people making stuff for Skyrim are on another level.

If you set them up initially by animation then you'll want to click animation reference before you activate, then mirror then each time you switch between the two. Now some things don't carry over from FK to IK since those adjustments aren't available (i.e. hand and head) so generally you want to get as close as possible with IK and then move into FK.

one of the plugins iirc hspe adds ability to combine IK and FK in animation tab
as for vanilla mirror button, it simply copies FK pose to IK from FK tab and IK to FK from IK tab
this is useful when you need to, say, create basic pose in IK where it's easier since IK is all about translation and rotations are computed automatically and then copy it to FK for more precise tweaking with direct control over rotation

Alright first tries with the new rendering and lighting. Admittedly I did turn off the fog between shots but there's still way more detail than before. The faces and map look much more "alive." This is probably going to eat up more time as I try to adjust lighting between scenes but for the most part I'm satisfied.

I got bored on last one and deleted it.
and all I wanted is something that would let me switch decorations and chars on keypress since you can't parent chars to folders in neo, a way to organize the scene.
it would be much more convenient than scattering them around and switching cameras like everyone does, make complex enough scene and welcome lags even on decent rig

he had one good idea though, storing additional info in folders.
all we need is someone to make some simple scene selection sets with switch.
that way you can keep your chars on origin position so that it will free cameras too.
what we have right now in form of vn engine, is unacceptable piece of shit.

So I tried this and the maps don't seem to show up in studioneo. I tried both putting these files in the studioneo folder (with the same directories otherwise) and I also tried just putting them in the studio folder. I ran HiR, it finished, but I can't find any of what I just added in studio_neo.

This guy's right. The girl I've been working on most recently has just about no curves. OK, so since yesterday my game has decided to crash left and right. All I've added since then was about ten cards and the D.Va outfit. Can any of those possibly fuck up my game? I'm pretty sure windows also performed an update, which I would think is more likely to break the game than a few cards and an outfit, but hopefully one of you has an idea of what happened.

The error for all three crashes was Write to location 00000000 caused an access violation. Also of note, all three times the crash I was working on the same character's bedroom set. I wonder if her data got corrupted somehow. The first two times it crashed pretty soon after selecting bedroom set, but the third time it took a good ten minutes before it finally crashed.

Just thought of an obvious one I completely forgot about. I installed Bitdefender when I saw the message up above about the flashbang pack being uploaded to various places with viruses attached so I scanned my HS folder (clean) but now I'm going to try running the game with Bitdefender turned off.

Dammit, that's not what I wanted to hear. I'm going to go ahead and uninstall this damned AV and hope it works because I had to delete the flashbang zip file because I needed the room and unzipping that bitch took forever because I had to do it folder by folder. Any chance grabbing the .exe files out of the fresh install zip will fix the problem?

Also, I did run the gamer with AV disabled and no other applications running, but I did forget to run as admin. I'm going to try that now, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Testing an HQ screenshots plugin i found on HF. It really does improve the picture's quality, makes it 4k even if you're running the game at a lower res, but at the same time it makes pics pretty heavy in the 5-8 MB range, had to resize them to post here

This seems to have worked. I'm glad for that!

I've got a new problem now though. My animation speed changes on its own and nothing I do seems to stop it. I'm just about positive that it's part of shortcut plugin, but there are so damned many options in that thing that it could be anything and I can't tell what's enabled or what's disabled just by looking at it, so I never know if I'm turning a given option on or off. Is there an easy way to set everything back to default that I'm not seeing?

There's a config file in userdata that controls plugin hotkeys, check there. You can probably delete that file if you want Studio to generate a new one with defaults.

+ and - control animation speed. S should activate/deactivate the entire mod. I usually keep it deactivated until I actually need it, since it likes to do its own thing sometimes (also you go to name something and next thing you know your camera's moving automatically and the face is randomizing)

I don't use FK\IK in my scenes at all because I can't be arsed to click it again whenever I feel like changing the character and I do that ALOT.
FK joint rotations are handled with hspe, the only thing it needs really at this point is a physical gizmo to make vanilla fk obsolete. hope joan adds it one day, it shouldn't be too hard.

You have to look at the position bars' colours to understand what mood it'll push the girl in. If it's a bar with a lot of purple then it adds slave points, blue it's hate, yellow is love, pink is horny. I assume making her come (probably better together) multiple times gives more point towards that mood, but i dunno

It's because you installed the 4k diffuse pack. Either uninstall it and install only the abdata files from it, or go to the options and disable the custom curve shit and it will be vanilla lighting again.

How do you restrain yourself when designing/improving girls from making them uncharacteristically thicc? I always go a bit overboard with the tits (in the DOA girls for example) and, after a while, I lose realism and accurate representation of the characters. I am very careful regarding faces but let loose in body types.

When i start working on a new card, I take long breaks, sometimes in days, when working on appearance. If I do it all in one go, the next day i launch the game i find myself looking at an alien.
I think doing a waifu creation marathon makes you hung up on details, tunneling so hard on a few sliders to fit your idea, that you dont realise how it affects the entirety of the character.
If you take a break and then come back, the first thing you see is not the details but the "bigger picture", and from there it is easier to spot imperfections

Have not kept up with honey select since the beginning of the dlc 02. This is a long shot, but it is likely that I may need to reinstall this game. I have two glaring problems that I don't know how to fix in pic related and had been present in my game near dlc2 update. Other issues I have are slot id conflicts, but I fixed most of them and just got tired to fix the rest because of the plethora of mods I downloaded back then.

1) The semen color for some reason is solid and also has a glaring shine to it as if I adjusted it's color.

2) As you can see from the pic, the nipple is not covered with semen, which should be happening, but the space there is invisible.

I find TK17 to be superior from HoneySelect in three features:
1) A greater number of stages, with much more variety (aka more scenarios)
2) More sliders in the parts of the body that matter the most: ass and tits (I can only dream of making the thick asses with different shapes in HS that I did in TK17)

What's wrong with HS' voice acting?
I agree on the rest outside of stages still being plentiful in HS thanks to mods, but HS voice choice is pretty rich, there's something like 40 voice libraries already, can't really complain about that.

Now if HS had decent collision physics, that would be a dealbreaker, I could almost give up on good ass sliders and shapes, almost.

You must have missed the point of where I referred to the English voices.

Seriously, as much as I value a good Japanese hentai VA, I don't want a game that has voice acting in only one language. Sex talk/moaning in English can be very hot as well. Add to the fact that a lot of characters that you can use in HS are Westernized or of Western origin, and you can understand what I mean. A Japanese voiced hentai character made in HS is fine. Even a Japanese Tifa for example could be fine, due to some portrayals of her with Asian facial features.
But a Japanese voiced Morrigan from Dragon Age? A Japanese voiced Ivy Valentine? Helena Douglas? Lulu? [Insert whatever westernized character that you can make/have in this game]?
That ruins the immersion and can alienate you somewhat.

For the record, TK17 does have at least 2 Japanese voice libraries. But the Japs can't even put not even 1 English. Come on...

the reason why it would be a great help is that characters can't be parented to anything, so if one wants to make complex decor\scenes, they will have to physically move characters away and any character currently marked as active eats up resources, even more if they have tons of dynamics attached like hairs etc.
once you have enough of these running up scene will be performance hog even for decent rigs
I've tried to delve into this problem with vn engine plugin since it promised to show\hide chars on external button press, but it didn't work out
