First time I remember finding out about hentai was my best friend telling me what it was. It was really weird to me that an illustrated character could be so sexually attractive. This was in the days of dialup modems, and I was maybe 12 or so. I'd go on dialup (I figured out how to turn the modem dialing sound off so I could sneak on at night) and try to quietly look for hentai on the internet. Back then there were no hentai sites, so if you got really lucky you could find a gallery of maybe 50 pictures or so.

After a little while some eros comics stuff started getting uploaded, so lots of classic things like Bondage Fairies, Alice in Sexland, Taboo, etc... all got uploaded to galleries that seemed huge at the time. It still took forever to download the pages and read them, though.

Mind if I join you there? This was the first thing I had, other than some cheesecake Sailor Moon pictures. It didn't play nice with Windows and you had to reboot in DOS mode to get the sound to work. It was just midi music but it added so much to the ambiance.
