The show itself is kinda "pure" and whenever I've seen a lwa thread here I've been completely unable to like the pics because of how innocent it was
Now, I understand some people like exactly that, buy it isn't my kind of thing
Klk and specially franxx on the other hand are very sexualized so it feels natural
I personally think riding a franxx is an analogy for sex
Everybody does it because they are supposed to but only 002 and Hiro "make love" (that's what the kiss symbolizes), and is also the reason why Hiro felt so guilty after riding the franxx with Ichigo and didn't feel anything after kissing her (because it was just sex with no chemistry involved)

Tl;dr lwa is fun but innocent and franxx is based on sex
