If you're coming to 1.8.1 from an older version of the game, copy your .sav file from the old game to the new one. Then, before getting back to the headpats, do the following:

>click memories
>click back

I think what the other anon is getting at is their screen's native resolution has a wider aspect ratio than what the game supports.

Trying to take Sylvie back wouldn't make sense for Ferrus. He deliberately gave Sylvie away because the slave trade business is far too much of a hassle and he assumed that a bleeding heart like the doctor would take her in no questions asked. Sylvie has little worth as a slave anyway. She has no particular skills in manual labor and she's scarred so her value as a sex slave would be comparatively low.

I was thinking something like Ferrus having a change of mind after seeing Sylvie getting too well with the doctor. Perhaps Ferrus asumed the doctor would use Sylvie as a slave or a "toy". I wasn't bothered when I first saw Sylvie's scars. I wondered if there would be any special considerations that the game would introduce in order to properly look after Sylvie, like helping her self esteem or not touching where it's far too sensitive. But Sylvie quickly feels good about herself from headpats and nice clothes, and she says that her scars don't really hurt anymore. Perhaps that's a bit of a flaw with the game's writing, but then again who wants piles of angst in their hentai or headpat simulator?

It's odd though that I barely even see her scars now, but I will notice if someone forgets then or tones then down in fanart.
