>>4396115The problem is, everything has become an argument of semantics.
Does a host define Fap Hero? If we define FH's by the originator, Fap Hero by OP is a Faggot, then one would probably support that notion. If someone believes that FH is defined by a wider umbrella, then certain components (such as a host or beat bar) wouldn't be an absolute requirement. The natural counterargument being, "it is just an HMV then."
I would say that the best option would be to accept that both camps have their merits, and create a new term to designate the difference.
Traditional Fap Hero which contains a host, beat bar, rounds, etc., which encompass FH by OP, Sax's work, Racyalice, etc.
Modern or New Fap Hero which doesn't have an exact requirement of composition. (e.g. one that doesn't have a host, uses beat sounds instead of a bar etc.) Obviously Bastati's Era! has been the poster child of this style, being far and away the highest rated FH of all time.
Both seem to have their advantages. Traditional FH focus often concentrate more on experience and are story driven. Modern FH seem to have jumped in technical ability and polish.
Now, the whole use of different definitions only matters if everything isn't dead forever, but it might help keep people from going at each others' throats
