>>3875283Played Haru Urare a bit (a lot) this weekend. It's really good, especially since it's just a tiny one-off that AliceSoft did on the side.
Very gameplay focused, so you can play it without knowing any Japanese / skipping the story scenes.
Story takes place in a highschool where, thanks to corruption and perverted teachers and politicians, three "service" clubs conduct their after-school activities. You operate one of the clubs and have to compete with the other two.
Every day, 3 to 8 customers arrive one-by-one. Some customers are wealthy, some are poor. Some have fetishes for girls that have a specific trait. Some give the girl that services them new traits, which may be positive, negative or neutral, or improve or decrease one of the girl's base stats. Each of the clubs can only present/showcase one of their girls at a time, and each girl can only work once per day... so you have to be careful what order you put them on display in.
You start with 3 girls and a capacity to keep 4 (which can be upgraded up to 8). Each girl can have up to 3 special traits and has 3 base stats: Appeal, Skill and Sanity. Appeal directly influences which girl a customer will pick (though fetishes can override this). Skill influences how much a customer will pay. When Sanity drops to "n" level, the girl is broken and should be replaced with a fresh model. There are items to improve/train all of the base stats.
Every 3 days or so, your club leaders go out to capture new girls and "introduce" them to the club. Every 2 weeks or so you have to pay contributions to the big boss, which starts at 150,000 and increases by 50,000 each time.
Every week or so, there is a Special Service session with a wealthy customer. They have far bigger wallets than regular customers but have very specific needs. How much they pay doesn't depend on Skill at all, but instead on how many of the girl's traits match their requirements.
Can post more details if there's any interest.
