I had scabies once but idk if it was due to sexual contact or just exposure (I used to live in a house with lots of stray cats around and grass). One of the worst experiences of my life would not reccomend.

just HIV (yes, of all things i could've rolled)
thankfully healthcare is affordable and i get my medication for free + got tested shortly after the incubation period so it never got anywhere close to AIDS and i'm in overall good health, i just have to take pills for the rest of my life lol
i'm just mad because the guy who infected me said he was on PReP and i believed him for some stupid reason

sadly he ended up being a crackhead and next time i saw him he was so meth'd up didn't even bother. there's a miniscule chance it wasba freak accident off of oral with someone else but it's basically impossible to catch something that way unless you have an open wound. i've made peace with it and cannot pursue any legal action so i just hope no one else is as dumb as i am

desu it really isn't that bad, i've met really supportive people along the way and as long as i have access to my meds i'm basically a regular person. what hurts the most isn't even the stigma for me personally, it's that i can't donate blood or my organs. it might sound silly against everything else but that always instills a profound sense of brokenness in me. that and the fact that this could've been avoided had i not been horny and naïve
