However, not all AFABs have it. The cis bi woman who made Hasbin Hotel has a very "amab" art style with vibrant colors and thick lines/object separation.
It seems to not be related to culture or artistic merit. There are Japanese lesbian examples from the 80s of this same artstyle, with it's lack of colors and fuzzy object separation. There's also earlier cartoons like Pepper Ann from the 90s with the same style, also aimed at these sorts of AFABs.
The "muted colors" aspect is what gets me the most. While differences in visual processing might explain it, we know AFABs SHOULD have better color vision than AMABs with many of them even being theorized to be tetra chromats like birds. If this were the case, what looks like bland colors to us may be just colors we can't see. The other theory on the colors is that 10% of men are red-green colorblind and perhaps pooners are male-brained in this way.
As for object separation that's pretty well studied/foids can't seaparate objects as clearly.
